In many transient experiences, like this short stay before I was picked up for Abu Dhabi, I find myself having breakfast alone, with other guests. But I am at peace, and at home. Have you experienced joy in a crowd of people you don’t know?
Have you experienced having fun, but to most people, it’s boring? Fun is not all partying. Quiet fun is top tier joy to introverts; but even to extroverts like me, alone time is precious. I love reading a book in a quiet café, watching a movie alone, or traveling solo (I did Siquijor, Gigantes islands, Bohol, etc). This episode is simply to appreciate your idea of having fun, reflecting the great joy of those invited at a wedding feast (Mathew 22:1-14), or the evangelical joy in Pope Francis’ Evangelii Gaudium. Whatever it is, joy brings people to God. Why not embrace what makes you happy, according to your own uniqueness and giftedness? Who said that we should be like everyone else?
Have you ever wondered where the Jesuits whom you know are buried? Let me take you to a short journey. 🚶🏻‍♂️🚶🏻‍♂️🚶🏻‍♂️
