Fundador or Marcha de San Ignacio is the anthem usually used by Jesuits on the feast of one of its founders, St. Ignatius of Loyola, on a day as today, 31 July.
Here’s my take on this anthem, spoken in my local language, Bikol. Ateneo de Naga University requested this, so I justaposed my reflection with AdNU’s anthem, Regnum Dei.
If there’s anything personally interesting, it is hearing myself speaking in my local language. The dialect I speak is Albayano, specifically, Camalignon. My brother, Jayson, knows Naga Bikol than I do. I am as always indebted to him. Enjoy!
Below is a Youtube video of the song, Fundador, by the Ateneo Chamber Singers.
